Ilian Rachov was born in Sofia, Bulgaria and began his artistic career in 1988.  He utilized an ancient, but somewhat forgotten technique of engraving golden backgrounds of the icons.

He developed his own personal style in the iconography field using unique colors and incorporating harmony and perfect decorations of his works. 

His work is instantly recognized and he has developed an international celebrity following.  In fact, he has been commissioned to do celebrity portraits of Naomi Campbell,   Penelope Cruz and the esteemed Gianni Versace himself.

In 2003, Ilian began collaborating with VERSACE and VERSACE Home Collection, designing mostly their baroque style ornamental designs used for prints on scarves, fabrics, clothes, cushions, lamps and bed spreads for the famous VERSACE Home Signature Collection.
